Exclamation New shaft...

Right, well after much faffing about I finally have the VS Proto shaft and am now off to get it fitted to my driver.

One small question though..... I've just had a strange phone conversation from someone at the golf club asking if I am actually allowed to fit a "Pro Tour" shaft to an amateur club? Now, I'm finding this slightly bizarre as I've never ever come across anything like this before, and as far as I know I've bought a standard VS Proto from Adlila that is a stiff shaft weighing 71g. Sure, it says Pro Tour on the side, but surely that doesn’t mean anything?

I'm obviously ignorant to all this, hence the questions - but I do find it a slightly bizarre question that was put to me! Even if I did buy something that is used on the Pro Tour, should that stop me playing with it as an amateur!???

Strangeness is about us here!!

Ask him whether putting a senior-flex shaft in will get you an AARP discount the next time you play. the only thing that matters is whether the equipment conforms to USGA or R&A spec.
