Walking Shoes

I want to start walking again when I play by myself after work. Gonna need some comfortable shoes to walk once a week in. Any suggestions for under $100?

New Balance have been good for me...Don't buy Nike air or gel filled..they give out fast.

I bought a pair of HI-TEC Mens DT Storm Athletic Golf Shoes specifically for walking this year. I love them! They are lightweight, rugged as hell and very waterproof. You may not like the looks though, they kinda look like hiking boots...

But, you may also want to checkout the Hi-Tec DTS400 shoes too. They are sneaker type shoes and also very comfortable.

Both shoes are definitely within your price range too.

Hi-Tec makes some very good golf shoes but they aren't real well known.

You might also want to check out Rob's online store Golf Shoes Only and I'm sure he could hook you up with a good deal on some excellent shoes too. (Rob, do I get a cut if he buys some shoes from you? )

I also have a pair of Air Nike shoes, sneaker style but not sure of the model. I bought them a few years ago on sale at Dicks and they are by far the most comfortable golf shoes for walking I've ever owned. They've worn well and I've re-spiked them at least 4 or 5 times. The only reason I got another pair of walking shoes this year was because I didn't want to trash these when the weather was nasty (they're all white and still look nice).

Look at Eccos!! I know they're a little more expensive, but they are really the most comfortable shoes out there and your feet will feel so much better.

Im getting some in june when I start working at my club and get them at cost

I know a lot of people say they don't like them, but I bought a pair because they were cheap, and they turned out remarkedly comfortable. I have at least 20 walking rounds on them so far and they look brand new.

A nice pair of red stilletos,

By the time you walk 18 in those, you'll be glad to wear anything else.

Nike Shox 2. Most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, bar none.

I'd say anything by Footjoy...I've always had great luck with their shoes.

Work with Robereno, he'll treat you right.

As mentioned, the Ecco's are supposed to be the most comfortable. My wife swears they are the most comfortable shoe (not just golf) that she has ever worn and owns about 5 pairs. I tried a few of them and own one but personally find them no more comfortable than the top types of Footjoys, for which I have always bought. With a size 13 foot the Ecco's seem a little more narrow than other brands, and a guy I talked with said it is due to all the stitching on the top.

Personally, when I walked, I found the Byte's to be the most comfortable for walking for what I have ever worn and can be found for much cheaper than the top Footjoys. The Bytes even have Hiking style golf shoes if you play courses with any kind of hills, which in PA is very common. Although since I now mainly ride a cart I find the Footjoys to be much more stylish and perfectly adequate in comfort. I would say though that anything below the E-Comforts and I would opt for the Bytes. I own a pair of E-Comforts, some other that slips my mind, but mainly buy Dry Joys and Gel Fusion.
