 reshafting success Two days ago I had my 980F 5 wood reshafted from a regular flex Grafalloy ProCustom to an regular flex Aldila NV. I was only hitting the 5 wood 200 yards, leaving me a big gap to my 3 wood at 240 yards. Plus my 4 hybrid is going 195 yards. Seemed to me that I was hitting the 5 wood too high, so the firm tip NV might help. And at $40 for a pull installed in a bore thru, it was worth a try, even tough I hated the NV when I had it in a driver. Hit it well at the range last night and seemed to be longer. This evening was the oncourse try out. After hitting only an average drive on #3, I was 225 yards out. Pulled the 5 wood, and without a doubt, this was among the top 1% of all shots I have ever hit. Landed mid green and stopped 15 feet past the pin.  Missed the friggen birdie putt, of course.

| I think the NV works good in fairway woods. It works good in sssmokin's Nickent hybrid. What weight did you get, 65 or 75?

| It's a 65. Kinda light for a fairway, but all he had in a pull in a regular flex. He had a ton of X flexes, though.
