Project X, Black Gold or what?

Does anybody have any experience with the Project X or the Black Gold? I'm going to change iron shafts in the next few weeks, and I would love to hear any experiences anyone has had. I need to bring the ball down, especially in the short irons. I hit the long irons about right now, so the whole flighted idea sounds good to me.

I never put much stock in the premium shaft is better bit, but the Rombax has worked so well for me, well, you know!

Twofast put the Black Gold's in his Nike's. I like them and they are very smooth. I only hit to about the 7iron, his are the blades, I can't hit his long irons very well at all. He should be able to offer some insight as I think he came from S400's in there prior.

I have the project x flighted in my irons. They generally have a lower ball flight in the short irons, and a higher ball flight in the long irons. I love them.

What do you want to know?

Everything. Impressions on ball flight, feel. How do they compare to say, S300's or Rifles? Do you get wood from looking at the them?

i haven't tried project X, but i do have black gold.
i do have pretty consistant swing and hit the ball on the sweet spot most of the time. w/ BG, the balls are little bit longer (5i to about 195 as to 175-180) and the flight is same if not lower than dynamic gold i had. this is probably due to tad stiffer shaft of bg.

on a flush shots, the ball has very boring flight, and towards the apex of the shot, the ball goes up and land softly. the shaft is definitely smoother, but i feel like it took some crippyness out of the club a tad bit. over all i'm very pleased to have changed over. all my sets from here on out will have BG on them (that is, if i do change my irons and that BG will be still available).

i heard from somewhere however, if you have aggressive swing, projectx will do you better, as BG is (i heard) for people w/ smoother swing. I also had people tell me that PX is not really a smooth shaft, (although w/ nice quality), and feel little harsh during impact.

Well, I love the feel. The ball gets up quick, but it flattens out. maybe lose half a club on them, for no real reason, and I have heard this from other people. I have 6.0's, and they are much stiffer than s300s.
