TEE 10.5 with Graman 540 UL "Limey"

So 1st outing last night for the Tour Edge 10.5 plus the Graman 540UL "Limey" plus a Yellow Golf Pride DD2 to add a touch of colour...

First impressions? Outside the unsightly scorch mark on the crown, this thing looks nice. The shaft is electric, I could see guys looking over from 4 holes away!! WTF is that!!!

Would I be right in thinking the shaft is cut down a bit SSSmokin? +1/2 " shorter?

Anyway I hit 7 drives over nine holes on a beautifully still evening. I didn't hit one hook and crushed 3 drives, nice flight and trajectory, all with a touch of fade (2-3 yards).

It is going to take me some time to "get onto" this shaft. I think it is right at my limit in terms of swing speed, but I didn't try and force it. The fact that it seems a bit shorter will probably help my control. I suspect the fade may be coming from the added stiffness???

At this point I would say that the Aldila By You S shaft (that I tried on the Speed Pro) is softer.

Anyway I now have 3 drivers.

Tour Edge 10.5 with Grafalloy Proto NT S
Tour Edge 10.5 (with scorch marks!) with Graman 540UL S
Hibore 9.5 with V2 67g S

They are all sweet. I might just play einy, meiny, miny, moe!

Comprehensive range work to follow to be more conclusive.

Thought sssmokin had it made the same length (45") as his other SQ driver but might be mistaken. Might just sit deeper into the TEE head.

When I had it in the SQ, I told him to make it the same length.........not realizing that the SQ I bought used had a 44 1/2" like my original SQ with the Grafalloy. That's why it's 1/2" shorter. I still hit my SQ with the Grafalloy as far as my SQ with the 45" Proto, so I hope it doesn't make any difference in yours.

No worries, if anything it may help.

More time with Excalibur!

Took it out last night for some serious test driving. It feels great. Don't notice huge distance gains (although I did CRUSH two) but dispersion was excellent and trajectory good. I did hit two worm burners, if you don't swing this thing right, it doesn't go, that's for sure.

I really like the new grip, although haven't tried it wet yet! More feedback required, need some serious wind now to really test it.

btw the scorch mark doesn't effect play. It gives it a certain Ghetto status.
