Butt Extension

I may have to add one to a driver shaft... I have the piece from the original butt cut. I could use a section of that fitted over the current butt? I was also wondering what would happen if I used a steel section, like 3/4" inserted into or over the graphite shaft? I was thinking this would essentially backweight the club slightly?

Use some T2000 steel, , shouldn't be too heavy, hehehe.

Honestly why not just use a regular golf extension section?

Oh, and why the extension anyway?

I've got an Epic sitting at 42.5 right now. I want to cut at least another 1/2" off the tip since it's got a little crack and I want to stiffen it up a bit. I have so many shafts kicking around I figured just rigging something up would be cheaper and easier... and more fun.

The Epic will eventually be going in a DCT pretty close to 11*, I'd like to get it between S and X, bombdiggity. lol.

*sigh* Well, let us know. Ever thought if you didn't always do this you might be shooting 70s consistantly by now?

Course the question must be raised. Do you play golf to try new equipment and just see how things perform, or to score? This stuff can't be the best route for your game.

One ho defending another, how romantic,

I see what he is saying, and since he has the club. *shrug* I'm just sayin, the amount of time, money, and effort you guys spend hoing...

Anywho, a regular extension should work, and most club makers or anywhere that can pull a shaft should be able to do it rather quickly.
