help get me off the fence...

I've not done a poll before and I thought I would take the opportunity to get one started before I finally break the 1,000 post mark!

The Nike PCTs are out of the bag and I'm itching to get a new set to replace my sorely missed MX20s (sigh). I've got the list narrowed down and I just would like to see what y'all here have to say. I've narrowed my "willing to play" list down to four set of sticks; all of which will be purchased individually 5-9 as I play a two hybrids and I already have my wedges.

I've hit all but the Bridgestones but I've loved every Bridgestone club I've hit so I'm willing to purchase without having hit them (besides, the shop has a 30 day 100% store credit policy).

Well, lets hear it!

I've seen and hit the MX-25's in action. If I were to go with a more game improvement geared iron they would be near the top of my list.

I would get the MX-25's! They are great. I will let you hit mine if you want. They are 1" long and 3º upright, but you should get a good sense of them. Oh, I have DGSL S300 shafts in mine. They feel great, are forgiving, and let you work the ball fairly well.

I figured the Mizzies would get a lot of love. Something is pulling me a way from them though; maybe subconsciously I want to punish myself for giving up the 20s...

How do you play with irons that are 1" long? Your back must be killing you after a round...

Chemboy - I picked Titleist, only because they're the nicest looking of the bunch, IMHO.

I totally agree that the Titleist is the best looking; although the Mizzies are right there as well.

I think the "look" is my biggest hang-up with the Pings and the Bridgestones. The GC's gravity disks look a bit gimmicky to me, even if conceptually they make sense. And that Ping badge, why couldn't that have been a single color?

I know all these clubs will perform, no doubts there, but I also need them to last because I plan on having these for a while (learned my ho'ing lesson with the MX20s). This is where the Pings get huge bonus points as they will look the same years from now (not sure about the BStones but they should hold-up just fine). The Titty's hold the advantage on the forged front though as they don't use as soft of a metal as the Mizzies.

Ugh, this is why I started the poll; I could sit here all day going in circles!!

The titleist will probably look the best to your eye at address. I think the Mizzy GI irons are fugly

I just checked the poll results and I'm in trouble, there is really no clear front runner. There's a very clear last place but I expected that as the Bridgestones are the ones that the vast majority of folks have never even seen in person, let alone hit. Hell, I've yet to actually see one outside of pictures!

Btw, I had actually ordered the Bridgestones last week but cancelled the order yesterday because I wanted some more time to think about it. I just wish the shop would order at least one display set. Bridgestone makes some really great clubs but nobody seems to want to stock them so we are forced to pruchase on blind faith...

I just got done reading all the Ping propaganda and I think I'm leaning towards a decision. My local muni is a Titleist and Ping fitter so I'm headed there now to do some demos...
