Talking FT-i

Tried this FT-i driver at a local demo day. I was first very skeptical about this whole squre driver... I tried the first swing... BOOOOM... Very straight and far... I thought maybe it was just lucky... This can't really feel this solid... So I tried another swing... BOOOm... Same result... I tried over and over again and the results were pretty much the same.

How do people feel about this club? Would like to get a general opinion about it. Has anyone tried the FT-i Tour version? I still can't believe that I actually like this club...

One of the few square drivers I don't mind the looks of (but $500???). I have only hit the SQ Sumo2 and wasn't all that impressed.

I wrote here recently that a good friend of mine owns one. He lent it to me and I played an entire round with it.

I liked it alot. I hit 11 of 13 fairways with it. Yes it looks and sounds odd, but that stuff doesn't bother me.

The rep on the club is that it is straighter and shorter than other drivers. This particular club had a Fujikura 757 Speeder shaft and I got a bit less distance out of it than my r7 425 with the ProLaunch Blue...

If I had the money, I'd consider it by playing at least 3 more rounds with it, but I am satisfied with my r7 and it is definitely more workable than the Cally...

I've got the 9.5 Neutral tour version with the 686 speeder shaft. It's pretty amazing really. I would say that it's certainly not LOOONNNNGGG - but better 10yds back and in play that in the rough of worse!!!

I hate it. One thing that is crucial for me is the look of the club at address, and how it feels during the swing. The FTi just didn't set up well for me and i had no confidence swinging it. I hit the FT5 MUCH MUCH better.

Same with the sumo. I hated the sumo 2, but loved the regular Sumo.
