Titleist Demo day at the range

Went to a Titleist demo day I hit the following

1. D1
2. D2
3. 906F2
4. 585H
5. 695 CB
6. 755
7 Vokey SM

A brief rundown:

D1 - actually not too bad looking at address, I only hit a few with this and they came off like a rocket. The sound is HORRID though. Could never play this.

D2 - it's the 905R. Waste of money to buy this one. The R has a sleeker shape too.

906F2 - Titleist and fairway woods = nothing spectacular. This felt a little heavy and dead to me. Nothing exciting here

585H - too heavy for a hybrid in my opinion. I am a little biased and a J33 snob

695CB - beautiful looking sticks, very small players cavities. Pure hits felt awesome, better than my 60's. Off center or just not perfect were just normal feeling. They seemed longer than my Mizzies. I would play these if I couldn't play the MP-60

755 - a great iron. Very playable, albeit a bit mushy feeling (I think that might have to do with the tri-spec shaft that was in it) There is a touch too much offset here, but again, playable for sure.

Vokey SM - These are just stupid. I was backing it up like 10 feet on 3/4 shots on the practice range. Short pitches didn't seem to spin all that much for me, but full shots were insane. I would have a tough time playing these since after about 6 full shots, 2 pro v's were ruined. Switching balls is not an option.

Shame on the Spin-Milled wedges, though it's not a huge shock. Pick up anything?

I was expecting to upgrade to another Titleist 3-wood from a 975F but was not impressed at all with the 906F2 either.

I also agree that the 755's are a bit mushy but I don't have a huge problem with that after 10 years of DCI 962s.

How does the Vokey SM compare to the old, non-spin milled Vokey wedges?

I absolutely love the look of the D1, easily my favorite of the new drivers out.

The 695cb's are the best oem irons on the market imho of course.

Defend them if you want. They are notoriously the worst face wearing forged irons made. Here's a typical one.

The older Mizzies are worse I think.

See MP-14 and MP-29 and Cholly's 30s. This was fixed with the release of the 32s I think
