Let's see now..............what brand clubs does the US Open champion play? I know................."they aren't the same ones the average guy can buy." Well, neither are any of the other brands. Just wanted to rub it in to all you Ping haters in here.

He was absolutley BOMBING the Rapture! However, I wouldn't want to play Angel's S58s because they are custom fit to him. With that being said, I can't wait to play the i5s that are on their way as they were custom fit to me!

Yesterday had some brand coincidences on two occasions; the final pairing had two Ping pros and, at one point, three out of the four lowest rounds were Nike pros...

Trust me, it isn't the club that won that tournament. It happened to be the club he was swinging at the time.

I have played Pings for 25 years, same set and love them.

Was he using the Rapture or the G5? Looked like the Rapture, but I know some pros stayed with teh G5

Looked a lot like the Rapture to me as well. Anyone see what shaft he was playing? Looked from one angle like a NV.

I don't think it was a NV, it wasn't green enough. It was definitely an orange or gold shaft. I was thinking a NVS or maybe an AccuFLEX Creation or Evolution.

no i know that phail has man boobs too. But he was already stolen by callaway. If not? perfect candidate for ping, except the fact that he is ranked 2 in the world....

Is Ping really that bad? I tried out their clubs during a demo day and I found them to be quite nice especially their woods. Preferred the G5 driver to Rapture and their player's irons weren't too bad either except it was a bit harder since it wasn't a forged one. I also thought that Ping had a great sound especially the G5. I was contemplating on whether I was going to get FT5 Tour or G5 but ended up ordering the FT5 Tour due to longer distance but sound was much meatier on G5.
