They're probably paying him extra to use it, like Nike and K.J. Choi and his Sumo squared.

I'm thinking KJ would use that driver regardless of whther they paid him. He hits that club straight, straight, straight...

Their claims that drives are straighter are now thoroughly debunked because no one can actually him them straighter

I thought square drivers were meant to be more forgiving on mis hits making them go straighter, they will still send the ball in the direction that the club is pointing.

The square job helps reduce SIDESPIN, along with MOI helping in that also, which leads to straighter drives, trust me, ive tried and the square jobs are straighter, but the problem with most players are they suck anywayz, and cant keep the club square.

All the square jobs out there do reduce sidespin on drives, but they arent near as long as a normal driver. At least from me.

Except they aren't straighter for the pros that hit them,so they must be only marginally straigther for people who regularly hit off centre

just a fad imo

On center face hits the square clubs are no different, none at all. On heel and toe hits the additional mass in the rear corners helps reduce clubs head twist, allowing gear effect to do its things a little better. This is what MOI does. MOI in the context used is simply the resistance a club head has to twisting around an axis, in this case that is the shaft.
The square design does not reduce side spin, it simply allows the head to stay in place better and not open or shut when the ball is hit on the heel or toe. They are also no shorter in testing at all. The pro's who have hit them, along as all other paramaters are the same also see no loss in distance. A ,830 COR is a point .830 COR regardless of the shape of the head.

Dont believe all the interent rumors about the square heads because 99% of them are simply not true. I still sell a lot of Quadratics and out of the roughly 150 of them I have sold I have not had a single person complain about anything I read on the net.

Lyle, if the centre of the axis is the shaft, and MOI is the reduction of twisting on off centre hits, wouldnt a centre shafted driver be beneficial because then the axis the club would twist on on off centre hits be minimilized by the position of the shaft to the clubface?
