Thread: Absolute Best Driver Shaft

  1. Absolute Best Driver Shaft

Okay, I read about Ez, Rock and Lyle getting all these expensive shafts. Will you experts give a "top ten" list (best first) of your choice of shafts regardless of price? I think this would be enlightening for all... Thanks.

Bearing in mind, that we all know some shafts great for one person, his swing, his home course may not be ideal for another….(hell, if there was we’d only have one shaft in all bags ).

The best shafts in my opinion are…

    BB Solution I30 aka “Wundershaft”
    Accra T series
    Matrix Ozik Code 6
    Tour Swing Vengeance
    Tour Swing Platinum
    Graman UL 540
UST V.2LD-1 (not to be confused with the standard UST V.2)
    Aldila NV
    GD YS-7
    Ozik TP-7

  5. #5
    My Top Ten
    1a Diamana White Board
    1b Diamana Red Board

I see you picked the grafalloy Axis in your list, and quite high. I absolutely hated that shaft. I hit it a mile but had no idea what so ever of where it was going. Hook, slice, straight, repeat.

It worked well with my tempo, had to tip it about an inch to get it to perform properly. I have had such great success with the Diamana line, it was hard to show that I personally feel there is a pretty big drop off from those to the shafts listed below it.

How can you list YOUR favorites with your "tied for first" three shafts that play diametrically opposite???

I play the White Board in a 10.5 Burner TP head, helps to give me a little more shot shaping control. I play a Blue Board in a 9.5 Burner TP that gives a great mid level ball flight. I have the Red Board in a Super Quad TP that allows me to take a bit of an easier swing. I have all three in different drivers that are used for different courses and conditions.

It's still on my list. I'd still like to obtain one for my driver. Nothing but good things said about this shaft since day 1.
