Shipper. Fedex. Sucks, cuz I've had outstanding service from them in the past.

This was obviously abused/run over. The shaft is completely crushed from mid shaft to the grip. Something with some weight killed this thing.

This was a demo using the OptiFit system in a Nakashima head and a Creation shaft, supplied by Victory Custom Golf. Ken is a great guy over there and pulled some strings to get this to me. The shipping was delayed from day one - probably because it was stuck in a sorting machine for 3 days.

On a related note, the OptiFit system is super sweet.

See above. By the looks of things, I would say that a fridge was placed on top of the shaft or it was run over by a Hummer.

How could anyone in good conscience ship an expensive graphite golf shaft without something strong to support it?

I remember that. I actually use stiffer boxes with that same setup when i ship drivers (usually).

I once got a driver sent to me in a plastic box. It was built like a tank. I bet shipping was double because of it, but there's no freaking way Fedex/Brown/DHL/USPS could argure against breakage if it were to happen.
