I have seen them selling on eBay recently for between $700 and $1000. I think There were only 500 made but not completely sure.

Are you getting one?

I picked one up today. I was in a little golf shop I know in Chester and they had one priced up at £150 about $300usd. I asked them the best price they could do and they said £130 ($260). So suspecting they were quite rare I ripped his arm off and had it there and then. I'm gonna have a little play with it then probably put it on ebay tomorrow.

MG Is there a certificate of authenticity with it? For most of the things like this people on EBay are scared of fakes and wont bid unless there is one.

Try this website:

The Cameron Collector

If you post something on there, someone will know and possibly make you an offer.

I tried registering last night but I never recieved the email from them which validates your email address and account. I can't find this putter on the scotty website the only centreshaft prototype on there is a Newport beach 2 but it does mention the original centreshaft prototype (mine) in the write up. I'm hoping that makes mine super rare but with out being able to get on the Cameron collector website to check I don't know. I'm definatly putting it on Ebay but not sure what reserve to set???

I've put it on a 7 day auction with no reserve starting at £1. Hopefully it will get a lot of early intreast and a nice profit to be made.

What do you make of my listing???

LOOK Very Rare ScOtTy CaMeRoN Prototype Putter ! ! ! on eBay, Golf Clubs, Golf, Sporting Goods (item 330159365390 end time 31-Aug-07 23:13:38 BST)

I think you've been a bit hasty to be brutally honest. It would have been better to know what you are dealing with value wise before putting it up for an open auction with no reserve. Hope it goes ok.

I used your 'Homing device' line so I'll be ok . There's nothing to stop me ending the auction early if there is a lack of intreast though. PM'd you BTW.

If I were you I would add more detailed pictures. Pictures sell items and the more the better. Anyone paying 1000 bucks for a putter will want better detail in the pics. Just my opinion.

The term is 'sought after', not sort after. Your credibility is in the toilet!

How rare?

Don't quote me, but only 2,000 were ever made (according to my friend that plays one and is a touring pro)

My buddy got it via online Japan a few years ago.

Is it really center-shafted?

Sort after? Huh? Can you say hen's teeth?

Valuable?

After posted on this forum?

I'm borrowing a decent Camera from my brother in law this afternoon so hopefully I should be able to get some better quality pics and add some of the shaft band, grip, headcover etc.

Shaft band, headcover and grip are much ado about nothing as they relate to value.

Flip it to your online friends here.
