Swing Analysis???

I am finally getting a chance to get on a swing monitor this afternoon. I am taking the wife out to dinner this evening in Columbia, SC and I will have a chance to get by Dick's or Golf Headquarters. Which should I go to? The last time I was in the Golf Headquarters the guys working there wouldn't give me the time of day, so I think I will go to Dick's. Are they as accurate as a "dedicated" golf shop?

Thanks for the opinions. I hate asking these type of questions. (like what type of irons should I get???)

Oh man, a true golfer. Taking wifey out to dinner!! Right. We all know that this trip is primarily to get on a launch monitor, and the dinner will be at Hooters.

P.S. My GF actually likes going to Hooters. She can tear up some chicken wings.

it all depends who they have on the sale floor at the time man.

at the location i work. myself, the pro, and one other guy actually know our stuff, but there's other guys that honestly couldn't tell you the difference between a gap wedge and a lob wedge. the same has seemed to have held true for other locations i've gone to in the area here. hopefully you can get someone who knows what they are doing.

good luck,

-YG

The thing about these places is their designed to recommend only items they have in stock....

But the information can be valuable to YOU if you document:

Swing Speed
Ball Speed
Initial Spin
Trajectory
Total carry

then you can make an educated decision to select ANYTING you want in the industry....not just at that particular store.
