....when compared to my D2/BiMatrix Combo.
This morning i threw it straight into the bag for my Club comp. This shaft has improved my distance and accuracy. I hit my longest ever drives from the comp tees on the 6th, 8th and 14th holes today. I also hit some very good drives on 2, 4, 10, 13, 16 & 17. (Hit a couple of bad ones on 5 & 15 though). The trajectory is a little lower than the V2 and the good drives didn't fade or draw more than a couple of feet, the straightest ball flight I've had for a while with plenty of carry and roll. It feels really top heavy due to the Steel tip section which gives it some reaL CLOWT!!! Must be A D6 swingweight.
This is the 1st driver I've had properly spined by the good folks down at Midas golf, the little gem of a golf workshop that dave has kept quiet from us all. Seriously, all the UK members here if you struggle to find a decent club fitter than these are the boys for you. I was talking with them for a while yesterday, asking there history in the game and what have you. The old fella who was working on my club said that they were all from the old slazenger/Dunlop factory. He said that he has worked on clubs for Seve, he did mention others ala Thompson, Lyle, etc, etc but I wasn't really listening as the're all down hill from the great Spainard, imo.
Anyway heres the link to there Website (they have an Ebay shop as well)
Midas Golf Anybody fancy an Epic??? They have an offer on it. I saw one in there workshop that had been fitted incorrectly by a club pro & it had snapped which meant you could see exactly how it's put together. It looks like a graphite shaft with the finest of a steel shell around it. It's meant to be the dogs dangly bits by all acounts.
