yes Lyle and Rockford have it right. If the shoe fits. Try them first. The regular or flighted regular rifles may be the ticket too. The TT Black Gold are worthy shafts also. The flighted shafts are designed to allow for a high launch with the long irons, a mid launch with the middle irons and a lower launch with the short irons. So lets say your expecting a 10 yard spread between irons. 5 to 6 iron spread ok but as you step up in loft the spread between irons gets less you maybe a candidate for flighted shafts.
Both PX and standard rifles offer flighted options along with their standard kick point shafts. Completely agree they are for hard swinger. The most popular complaint I see with them results when too stiff of shaft is used. Just like driver shafts that are too stiff the club will feel like a board and you will loss distance big time. IMO the selection of the right flex and style rifle needs to be done carefully as you can get a shaft that simply will NOT work and feel AWFUL. WBL with your higher torque swing this shaft maybe an option but go into testing process with care.
There are other options out there than Rifles also. Some of the new graphites have a lower launch too and have that smooth feel.
Or rather than flighted I went with hybrids for long irons and standard PX for others. Many ways to skin a cat (Always wondered WTF someone would want to skin a feline in multiple manners---just too weird).
