54 holes with a Pro V1X

Obviously with my crisp and powerful iron play the ball is creased up,but unlike the Bridgestones for example, the Blackmax and others, the cover doesn't peel,or chucks don't come off.The durability really has got to a an incredible level now.I can live with the creases but balls of old, including the awful Blackmax, just leave their covers behind in the grooves.

Not the new Pro V1x,its a perfect ball now, imho. Its the future

i have few in my bags that are pretty worned down from playing them round after round. they have little scuff marks, but they play just fine.

even after few bunker shots, prov1x is still playable. me like it.

I'm on about 45 holes now with an old Pro V (call me crazy but I prefer it over the X) They are definitely the best of the premium balls out there.

Am I the only one out there that still tears the cover off Pro V1's and is forced to put another ball in play after five or six holes? It's why I only play them in serious rounds, because, well, replacing four balls every round gets expensive quickly.

Lamer,
Pro V's are better. They are softer off the irons, better around the greens, and roll nicer off the putter. The X's tend to feel harder (like a 100 compression vs. a 90) than the V's, spin less, but do fly further on iron shots-across the board by the way, and provide less feel around the greens and off the putter.
The Pro V is the better ball.
I do not get how you are shredding them. They last all round for me, and I am a single 'cap.

Have you tried the red?.

Absolutely hated it off the driver, the ball flight was so ugly. It looked low and like the ball just went out 200 yards and just fell down.

Liked it around the greens though.

The Cally HX Tour 56 has been the best ball I tried all summer.

Its such a personal thing though,I detest the Callways, they have a really hard feel off a putter, with my Odyssey Black they just seem to fire off the face. The TM Reds just seem very similar to the Pro Vs,but imo the Pro V1x has the best balance of feel and durability. After 18 it was batetred, there were creases from full irons but unlike say the Blackmax the cover still intact and perfectly playable.

Then again,I like playing well and keeping the ball going,I like the round paint marks from wooden tees and the round green marks from spinning irons to stay on the ball.I think I need help maybe, possibly to just egt a life, but there is something good about going round in a good score and leaving the battle scars on the ball

I'm not disagreeing about the ball being better than some old cheapo out there. Why I rip them up is beyond me. It's just something I've by and large accepted.

Yep,I also disagree with Coach, but its a personal thing obviously.I prefer the X off the putter and there is nothing in them around the greens

I have to agree on the HX TOURS being a rocket off a putter. However I threw in my light weights in the 2 bar and the 56 felt fine.

I loved it on iron shots.

I tried the ProV1 last summer and didn't like it as much as the HX Tour or Nike One but the ProV1x is the greatest ball I've ever found. Dave is right.
