Tigers Putter?

Anybody know exactly which Scotty Tiger uses as I'm after hoing a Scotty to send to the Custom shop for a make over & figured that the same model as Tiger would hold it's value in years to come?

its older model, i think is about a 01 or 00 he was using the same one I think when he even won the Amature events and first masters etc. Only thing he wont change in his bag. I also noticed he is using Diamana Blue Board shafts in his wood, as was phil

The TEI 3 is what he used for the 1997 Masters win. His current putter is a Newport 2 design (same head design as the TEI 3 but without the insert and a different finish), but it is completely customized by Scotty for Tiger. I have read that there were six of them made and that Tiger is only in posession of one or two of them. I have seen one of them in a case at Edwin Watts on Turkey Lake road in Orlando. I have seen another one of them for sale on eBay. If you do get your hands on one, be prepared to seperate yourself with a lot of money.

I believe that the design came out of the Pro Platinum era for the Newport 2 design, but Scotty will do just about anything on custom orders when it comes to materials. Jason Gore has a copper headed model, other pro's have German Stainless Steel models where the production models have only been available with a GSS insert (Studio Style and Red X line.)

There are a few Cameron collectors on the board that will likely know exactly what material Tiger's is made out of (Wirehair and Cyberious) but getting a production design based on Tiger's putter will not hold value any better than other production models. You need to get one of the six if your looking for collectable value.

The Newport two is from the pro platinum era, but the entire putter is made from a block of the German Stainless Steel, so the insert in my putter that makes is so expensive, thats what his putter is made ENTIRELY of.

I believe just to make it with that steel is 6000$ worth (ive heard). And he had 6 made and picked out two of them, and gave the others back, so Tiger has two, and there are 4 others floating around (two accounted for, one at Edwin Watts as Tim said, and ive also seen that one floating around Ebay).

Then yea, Scotty finished it off exactly as Tiger wanted, to all his specs etc.

What a solid putter. I would love to stroke one with that thing.

i think TIm Herron(sp) has one of tiger putters that he plays with ...i think it was in GD a few months back...

Herron was using a Studio Style in 2006, I am not sure what he is using this year, but I doubt he is running around with a TW on his putter. Scotty may have made him a similar putter, but I can not imagine a Tour Player playing with a club with someone else's name on it.
