Lamkin Dual Density Torsion Control Tour Grip Reviews

Hi, I don't know if this is the right place to ask this but im planning on getting the Lamkin Dual Density Torsion Control Tour Grip for my irons (RAC OS2) and wondering if anyone has tried this out yet?

I have attached an image to show the one im planning to get. I got about a month before making my decision so any reviews would be very helpful.

Thanks a lot!!!

One of the worst grips I have ever used in the damp, plus I don't use a glove and in summer with even mild persparation I could barely hold the club

I didn't like them at all tbh and I can't undestand these torsion bars, grips are stable enough without them,

I agree with Dave. I tried them and they just didn't work well here in Florida. I keep trying other grips, and going back to good old Tour Velvets. Cheap, and they work.

I like em...but then again, I'm biased, because my buddies company makes them for Lamkin.

I've never tried them, but for a while last year I used the Dual Density Crossline, and I liked those quite a bit. Firm, but still tacky if your hands perspire (I also don't wear a glove). But, for my money, a grip doesn't get any better than the Lamkin Crossline. I personally think it stays tackier longer than the Tour Velvet's. But that's just me.

Crossline Blacks yes,but the whites are a lot less durable but I still like them

The Dual Durometer red top half cord is the best grip I have ever used bar none, just too expensive, hence why I use Sharpro

I've got the DD Crosslines on my hybrids, and they're fine grips. I found that my irons felt harsh with them, which is why I've got the Tour Velvets on them. But I like the DD Crosslines a lot.

Thanks for the reviews, im trying to find something semi soft that would tear up my hands like some of the velvet grips that i have used, been getting a lot of calus lately, but not too soft like the Winn grips.

At first feel, these were sort of what i was looking for. But i question the durability and how they feel when wet. I got my answers here so any other suggestions?

Thanks again

If Velvet grips are tearing your hands up, then you are holding the club wrong, and you should spend the money on Hogan's book: "Five Lessons - The Modern Fundamentals of Golf". He has a 20 page section that explains how to properly hold a club.

Even with corded grips (is that what you mean by Velvet?) you shouldn't see callouses or blisters.

IMO the Lamkin Crosslines are the best grip available. I use the red ones like Boo.

they sucked as mentioned, I was at edwin Watts when i was getting fitted for my Mizunos. He handed me one with that grip and i threw it into the net on my next swing... Best grips out there IMO right now are the Winn Xi17 i can play barehanded and its not a problem." I have sweaty hands"

with all these bad reviews on the grip i think im goin to pass on it. I read up on grips with ribs in them, wat do you guys/gals think of those grips. I saw a couple golf price grips with them. Didn't realize there was so much to grips when i first started playing a couple years ago. Learning more and more every day.

I guess I am in the minority here, I love the Lamking Dual Density Torsion Controls. I have used both the standard one (mostly blue) and the tour version (mostly black) and love them both. I find they allow me to grip the club lighter than even the GP Decades. The blue standard version is softer and I find the grips very comfortable in my hands even when wet down here in humid Florida. Every club I build or reshaft gets one put on it now.

My initial concern was going to be wear. I used to play the Winns and really loved those, but they tended to wear faster than any grip I have ever played. When I first put DDTC's on I was afraid that, because of the softness of the standard grip, they were going to wear fast as well. I have now had the grips on some of my clubs since January and they are still looking as good as the day I bought them. Still as tacky as the day I bought them.

My suggestion would be to regrip one of your clubs with the grip and see how YOU like it. Obviously, there are some that absolutely hate it, and others that like it. Try one out and see how it works with your individual game.

I came accross the Lamkin Perma-Wrap Sof-Cord Full Cord .580 Ribbed
grips and they feel softer also. Price is little cheaper also. Any thoughts?

Sorry to some of the guys that have gave me suggestions. Its not that im not going for those, but wanna see wat my options are and stuff like that. If this comes out bad I might go for one of those as my back up, probably either the golf pride or the lamkin crossline and i have read good reviews for them almost everywhere.
