Bought another Cameron Tour putter

Well, my collection grows yet again. I just picked this Tour putter up for my wife to use. Once I get it it is off to the Custom Shop for some paint and body work.

Yeah the Detour works well for the wife. I do have to admit though that even though it is an eye sore it is a really great putter. It rolls the balls incredibally well. I've tried it a couple of times and like it. I still prefer my 009 but on days that I'm having the yips I have a Newport 2 Detour here that does occasionally see some action. I wouldn't be above using this one either.

I'm debating on what to have done at the Custom Shop. I'm thinking Authentication plus either a Red or Orange grip and paint scheme.

Nice pickup of an ugly putter.

Eye sore it is. Interestingly enough though it has helped my wife drop atleast 10 putts per round off her score. Granted she's a relative beginner but that is still pretty good. She started off with a Odyssey 2 ball then s pink Yes putter then got a Never compromise VooDoo. I let her try out a Detour and she was draining everything in the pro shop. I told her if she practiced with it I'd get her a Tour issue only version of it. So she now has one. Because of the weight of it you really have to use your bigger muscles for the putting stroke and keep your wrists out of it. Her problem was her wrists were breaking down and this fixed it. I've tried it a few times and putt well with it also. It really is forgiving as putters go and I wouldn't be above using it if I got a bad case of the yips. Although I do prefer the Newport 2 Detour for that (and am currently scoping out a Tour only version of that too).
