So firstly, MG - how did you miss this one!?!

I asked him if it was the square one, and he said - er... yeah - it's really big!! Don't know what loft it is - but it'll either be 9,10,11 or 13 i guess - seeing as it's the 586 shaft not 686.

Anyhow - just thought i'd share really

At that price, I'm willing to bet it's a fake. No doubt about it.

There are LOADS of fake FTi's floating around E-bay. Post some pics when you get it, especially of the sole and the grip. I'm surprised you would jump at this without seeing them first.

I think you got a killer deal, personally. Based on the kinds of things he normally sells (nothing), and buys (R/C car stuff), he doesn't seem like a prime candidate for selling fake junk. Definitely update us later!

yeah - i've bought enough off the bay to get a pretty good handle on what's fake and what isn't. I'm 99% sure this is fine - and with the £150 paypal guarantee, i can't really lose!?

Usually - fakes are 1 day auctions, claiming to be UK based, but shipping from abroad.

The seller doesn't have to know if its fake, to still sell a fake, if you catch my drift. He could honestly believe it is 100% genuine. I doubt thats the case, but you never know. Report back when it arrives!

Personally didnt like it, but it was definately the wrong shaft and wrong loft/weighting for me.

Looks like a sweet deal if you get a genuine FTi and if not PayPal are normally superb at refunding your money. If it does turn out to be a fake then just tell the seller you want a refund if he's genuine he will refund you straight away and it's faster than going via paypal. That said what you ho'ing with the profits? I've got a Burner TP I'm open to offers on.

So - it arrived this morning, brand new as described. It's the 11 degree version, which is great really, because there's only 4 others listed on ebay uk right now - so i'll not get lost in the 30+ fakes for the other lofts.
