Does the Launcher come in a "tour spec"?

I know Cleveland makes the HiBore line in a regular and tour issue. Did they do the same thing with the Launcher? I can't recall ever, EVER seeing or hearing of one, but it'd be like a dream come true...

Sorry to be thinking about drivers again, but mine is STILL in the shop from all the bullsh*t I posted about before.

Just remembering how ridiculously long I hit the Launcher, and how much I liked the square face of the FT-3 that isn't currently in my posession...

Here's a recap, in case anybody is curious..

Is this acceptable?

they have tour issued probably w/ "B" stamp (or other tour stamp) next to the hosel. besides that, i don't believe there were "tour-spec" in retail.

it sucks to have crap done at the store. i had a run w/ the local golf shop here and it sucked to be w/o my driver for 2 month while they try to figure out why the shaft was coming out.

needless to say, i've been doing all the club work myself at home.

The only "Tour" version of the Launcher was the 400T, the 400cc version. The 460 only came as a Ti and Composite models.

However, I doubt anybody using either the Comp or the 460 on tour didn't have some sort of hot melt or rat glue done to the head to make it more personalized.

The HiBore was a bit of an anomoly. It was meant to be the ultimate in game improvement, but because it went against conventional/today's thinking, it basically bombed as a result.

It's a great head if you can fit the right shaft to it and you can wrap your brain around that the head is basically upside down and requires a low tee ball.

I have a couple of drivers I wish I'd never gotten rid of. I'd swear both were longer than even what I currently use. I think drivers are pretty much done for technology under todays rules so I wouldn' be surprised to see folks going back to using older ones. In my opinion todays newer drivers launch it a bit too high. I always preferred a Mid launch angle (one that started off like a bullet for about 100 yards and then quickly climbed and when it did land it ran forever). Today I get lots of carry but less roll. The two drivers I miss most were my King Cobra 454 Comp 7.5* with the Mitsubishi Rayon Shaft and my original R7 (non TP) Quad 8.5* w/ the Fujikura Speeder 757 from the factory. Both gave me that nice trajectory I like with lots of roll. With those I typically got drives between 270-320 all day long.

I'd say start hitting Global Golf and see if you can find a driver like your old one. WIth Cleveland isn't the main difference between Tour and non-Tour the amount the club face is open? If so you could always have a reputable shop open the face a couple of degrees.

Yeah what I was really looking for was a square/open faced Launcher 460. Apparently they DO exist (thanks Youngun5!). I'll keep on the lookout
