So I found a Golfsmith finally...

Well I walked in and this is the nicest one I had ever seen.
HUGE area with tons of stuff for all the Club builders around here.
Their demo area was HUGE!!!!! It was 6 or 8 spots long hitting into a rounded net area. They must have had 150 drivers, 3 woods Hybrids and 15 different iron sets to try from.

So because there was lightning outside as I headed to the range, I decided Well I can hit a few in here.
Just for Fun I went through about 6 Drivers
Keep in mind the balls in the hitting area were a Mix of Callaway Hx's and Titleist X outs
HiboreXL Tour 9.5
Feel- SHYT absolute crap felt like I was hitting rocks with that thing
Titleist D1- Hurt my ese looking at it, Felt alright just didnt feel solid even when i hit 3 in a row right on the face.
Titleist D2- Much much better than D1, Felt about the same, but I just liked the look of it much more.
Superquad- Everyone knows.... I just think it feels.. Unfriendly.. no matter where you hit it.
Burner- I think this is the best club on the market. Its super solid, but when u catch it just right it has that tiny " Cushion " you get from a steel club. And it just flys off the face. Also My highest ball speed came off the Burner also, by about 6 mph than all the other, the Superquad was actually 3 mph lower.


Anyways My big shock was in the fairway woods. Im kinda in the market for some new fairway woods. I am still palying Taylormade 200 Steel, And I like them alot, but I feel like I have out grown them slightly. And I am behind not having a titanium Head.

I hit the Titty, Burner, Cleveland and A Mizuno F-50

The titty Looked sweet at address the 2nd best to me. Felt solid but I wasent really catching it like I should. I was either hitting stingers or a little high.

Burner- Looked good, Felt sweet and I hit really well I liked it alot, but My only concern was how freaking huge it is.. I would definitely need a TP

Cleveland like the driver, felt awful put back after 3 swings.

Finally the Mizuno, I knew they made nice Irons, and I love mine but I havent heard ANYONE talk about their Woods AT ALL. I was Curious.
Right when I grabbed it it felt amazing. The appearance was 10-10 and Every swing felt amazing. Ball really took off the face, and From what I could tell I was getting the ball flight I wanted. That club was Awesome. but I am not sure if it was Steel or Ti

and after being in the store hitting clubs and putting for over and hour, the store closed hahaha Well it was interesting.

I've hit the SuperClod, and I feel the same way you do about it.

I've hit the Burner TP, and I feel the same way you do about it.

I haven't hit either of the Titleists, but the D1 is just plain FUGLY. D2 looks better, but I'll probably never try it.

You mention that nobody talks about Mizuno woods. I've got the MX-500 driver and I think it's an very underappreciated driver. I have mentioned it several times in several threads. (I know, you can't read them all...)

I've been hitting a lot of drivers lately, and this one feels like it's going to stay in my bag for a long time. The Burner TP is a close 2nd, but I'd have to fall out with the Mizzie to look at it again.

I love my Callaway X 4-wood a lot (and I'm not a fan of ANY other Callaways), but I might try the F-50, based on your review (if they have a 4-wood). I don't carry a 3-wood right now, and if I did it would be the Tour Edge CB1 I have.

I actually might head up there again today looking for a job. I did find that the Mizuno is a Steel Face with a Composite Body / Crown. I wonder if I would see a huge difference with that and my TM 200s .. And I do believe they have a 4 wood. I was hitting a 15* 3 and I would Like to get a 13* just because I hit the ball so darn high...

Also they do make a 4 wood but not left handed if you are a lefty..
