Then your in real big trouble with the rifles LOL.

The PX shafts are very butt stiff and thus will feel stiffer than the rifles of the same flex. They will also have a flatter overall trajectory. The rifles are butt soft and feel great. They launch the ball very high and are more of a smooth swingers shaft, while the PX are better suited to a hard hitter who takes divots.

Best bet is demo both before buying as they are completely different animals.

Also keep in mind that the number 1 iron shaft on tour (and it isnt even close) is the plain old Dynamic gold. Low launch, tight, and nicely weighted.

Really lyle? That surprises me a lot. I hit PXs in my friend's cally forged and hit them sky high compared to a- my 2i with rifle 6.5(vs his 2i) and b- my DG s300s.

But i am a swinger, so will have fun with the rifles, at worst I can throw my S300s back in and have an extra set of rifles to fool around with for a great price (THX BIGJIM!!)

I've used DG-S300 , Rifle 5.5 and PX shafts not flighted 5.5 on my irons. Driver ss 106 mph, and semi quick tempo.

DG-300---Good trajectory, feel a bit harsh on mishits, boring flight average

Rifle---Smoother release than DG, trajectory about same, can feel shaft flex better than DG

PX Smoother than Rifle, Trajectory about same but ball has less tendency to balloon--more boring after ball reaches apex. Final feel is similar to graphite shaft.

I changed to PX for a number of reasons. I had distance control issues with DG. My more lofted irons tended to balloon with DG reducing the yardage splits. The PX cured this. Also my long irons with PX seem to have a more even trajectory from shot to shot. I believe rifles would have been better than DG except for the lofted iron issue.

Remember I have a semi quick tempo. Generally speaking smooth tempo golfer like DG better than Royal Precision products. Tip Stiffness????

Plus those "brushed shafts" look cool.
