Nike golf balls stink!

Well at least their Power Long ones do. Received a sleeve of those in the mail last week for free. Thought I would give them a shot today & all 3 totally sucked off the tee. I could not get anything out of them at all. Dropped a Precept laddie X & nailed it perfectly. Those Nike's also felt weird when striking them. Not sure what the old Top Flites..aka Rock Flites felt like but going by what they have been described to me as, I would say these thing are the same type of garbage.

2 balls now that I refuse to play with & if I find any I will immediately toss them into either the water or the woods. These Nikes & the Orlimar Black ice are horrible balls.

BTW, if anyone wants these 3 Nike balls they can be found at the bottom of the pond alongside the 18th fairway at Rock River Hills. I tossed all 3 in as I rode by.

That's funny.

I actually think the Powersoft and distance+soft are good balls. I have a few I break out for winter golf and wouldn't hesistate to play them. I've spun the distance+soft back off my GW several times and it was no different than a ProV off the driver that I could tell. I've looked for them on Ebay but can't find just that model in bulk.

They aren't "bad" balls, just not great ones. Their ONE Platinum however are almost as good as ProV1x's.

One platinums are great balls, any nike distance ball sucks, the powersoft and the "soft" nike balls arent too bad though.

Im still playing one plats at the moment until i have to start playing taylormades for school. I already have 2 dozen reds in my closet waiting to be broken out, but for now ive been using the same 2 one plats for the past 3 weeks of practise (havent lost either of them in, um, 6-8 rounds).

In my humble opinion the Nike Soft distance or power soft or whatever they call them in the $15.00 green boxes is a great bargain...for the price, they're very good...wouldn't use them in tournaments...but have no problem in casual play
