Next Hybrid

I'm debating what to get next for a hybrid. Choices have been narrowed to a Nickent 4Dx 17* or another Rescue TP (the new one) in a 17*. I like my 21* and it's a rocket off the face. I hit it as far as I hit Twofasts 19* Sonartec. I could pick one up and stick with the stock shaft as it is a Rombax hybrid shaft and pretty darn good. The Nickent would most likely be an all out reshaft. I'd be dropping a Speeder 904HB in it with a green decade. That puppy would run me around $200 by the time all is said and done but what a beauty it would be. Help me decide.

A 4dx with a green decade would be hot.

I can't decide which one I want; I'll let you know.

Nickent

Of the two, a Nickent is a good choice, i have hit the 3dx but not the new 4dx. Also try the new Adams Idea Pro. I think the ease of use with it is bar none the best hybrid i have ever hit.

the rescue TP is the better of the two IMO.

I voted TM TP...it's simply who you are and what you play!

Thanks I didn't even think of that one. I'm looking for a 17* and that one does come in a 17*. I'll have to hit one next time I'm in the shop.

Idk about the TM TP, but i read on hear that the Nickent has pretty good results, so io put in a vote for the Nickent. Im not sure if it was that specific club though... lol.

I was blown away by the Baffler Pro; too scared of the Nikent as I heard it was a hook machine, but I would like to demo it. The Cobra really surprised me, but it took putting in a decent shaft to really get the sparks flying.

I'm with MC on this Ez. It seems no matter how much you fiddle around with different clubs, you always come back to TM woods/hybrids.

I'll have to take a look at the Cobra as well I guess.

Looks like the Nickent is in the lead, both in the poll and in my head. I was going through their site and the 4dx has a titanium crown while "the rest" are total stainless construction. The Rescue TP is good in the 21* but I think I'd like a little more aim and fire forgiveness out of a 17*. It will be seeing a lot of use as the courses I'm mainly playing now have par 3's outside of my 21* range (220+). Also there are a lot of long par 4's where it will see approach shot duty most of the time as well as off the tee on a lot of the shorter par 4's where too long is gone.

If I do go for the Nickent I think I should get the V2 in it and give it a shot. I didn't care for the SR shaft that is the other option. I still like the specs on the 904HB though and she'd be a nasty combo with one of those.

Wouldn't go for a 585 in 17*, would be damn near impossible to hit. Go for a 'kinda easy to hit' hybrid, as the lack of loft will make it tough to hit anyway

I voted for the TP.

I wouldn't cross the 585 or the J33 off your list tho. You can't go wrong with a rescue TP though. Great hybrids.
