Shaft Extensions or New Shafts?

Here's the deal, a while back the taylormade tour van came to my club and ajusted my lies, they also reccomended i get 1/2" longer shafts in my irons. This winter i was planning on getting new shafts but I'm only 17 and i will probably grow some more so i dont know if now is the right time to drop 300-400 bucks on new shafts so now i think that i am just going to get shaft extensions installed in them. Do you guys think this is a good idea? And if i have two clubs with the same shaft but one with an extension and one without the extension will it play differently?

What shafts were you planning on getting for $400? I would just get the extensions for the time being though.

I dunno i was just talking to a pro he said to get new shafts installed it would cost about that...

send ur stuff to lyle at that price.. my god..

depending on shafts..... but i mean even grats ones like project X's new retail are about $20 each... so thats $160 3-pw.. and maybe a $50 install for all of them MAX!
