Proforce V2 65 vs. V2 75

---Looking for advice and info here as I have not yet found a valuable launch monitor in my new city.

UST claims that the Proforce V2 65 is a mid-high launch shaft and that the V2 75 is a mid launch. Has anyone demoed or played both? Is there really a big difference like the NV vs NVS? I guess what I am after is choosing between a V2 65 STIFF and a V2 75 Regular. The specs show that the 65-S actually has a tip that is stiffer than the 75-R (28 vs. 26) Here are the specs:

65 Stiff -- 6060 S 66g 3.0 Med-High 4.0" 267 7.0 28 0.335" 0.600" 46"

75 Regular -- 7070 R 75g 2.2 Medium 4.0" 253 6.3 26 0.335" 0.600" 46"

I've hit sssmokin's Sasquatch with the V2 65 reg and had a V2 75 reg in my 905R. Honestly didn't see much difference in either shaft. Even the 75g didn't feel much heavier. My 2 cents.

NOW, if you REALLY want a bomber V2 shaft get this one... Only sold by Inducup golf...

What you are thinking is about right. I had the 67 or whatever it is in the Superquad, it was very weak and tip soft. The 76 seems quite the opposite to me.

What was the ballflight of the 65? Was there a marked difference in ball flight with the 75?

I played the old proforce 65 for probably 4 -5 years , got a V2 65 thinking it would be similar but even better. Not so, my opinion of the v2 is pretty much the same as ezra. Mine was in a TM 580 xd ,Maybe the shaft might work better in a deeper bore head like a Titleist or a Callaway.

Never tried the V2 75.

I have the V2 76g in stiff in my bore-thru Titleist. In my opinion the V2 is not nearly as boardy as every one makes it out to be and I find the tip to play fairly soft. I swing at around 105 mph with a moderately aggressive tempo. However, last weekend I believe I stumbled upon the trick to playing the V2 with my swing. Overall a decent shaft but just not as stiff as people make it out to be.

I found that the lag created by the weaker tip was easier to play when I put the ball ever so slightly further forward in my stance and really concentrated on holding my wrists back until the last second and pulling hard THROUGH the ball.

While this is usually the proper technique anyway, I could get away without doing this with most other shafts. The V2 just wouldn't allow a swing that was more arm-based than wrist-based if you get what I'm trying to say.

Could just be my effed up swing though. The V2 is a beast of a shaft when loaded properly though and I'm starting to get some big drives out of it now.

Experiment with your swing a little and see how changing wrist ****ing and the like affect ballflight and feel. Best thing i ever did.

This is what I was thinking as well. I know that I don not produce enough clubhead lag...this may not be the shaft for me.
