New Putter

I couldn't wait. I'd planned on getting a B60 35" but really liked this one in the 34". I got my measurements taken and told the 34" was a good fit. I really like how this one sets up. What a bargain these are, Ping will sell millions and I might just end up with the B60 anyway at this price.

Center shafted?

Are you driving to parks to take pics so you don't get made fun of?

Nice putter man.

Yes, centershafted. I liked it in the shop and figured why not?

That's the backyard. Parks around here seem to a popular meeting spot for middle aged homosexuals.

Yeh that center shafted threw me off a bit also. Great looking putter though.

Yes it is. It's a cycle and I'm back in it. I was smoking an R7 425 in the shop today, like a dozen swings and one ballmark. Fortunately I ordered one with a Graf Blue at like 1am yesterday.

Next I am hoing a massive 9x3 ft. putting mat. It will take up all the room in my LR in front of the TV. After that I'm thinking about a training aid called a "path pro". You can do like 6 different things with it including setting up over your backswing, that's one feature I'll be using, lol.

Aye, don't want Twofast think that you are fooling around.

Further, I've never been a big fan of center shafted, but if it works, it works.

I'll keep that in mind. I actually didn't like the look of the B60 all that much and borderline detested centershafts. Other than the Craz-e, this one was the bottom of the barrel looks wise for me. Problem? I hit the other models on the shop green and had decent speed, just missing inside or out. I $hit you not that I picked this one up and holed 8 straight putts with it back to 12+ feet on 6 differerent holes.... and yes, they do have a mild break to them. I have a straight back and through stroke so finally getting a 100% face balanced may help a lot. Of course the true test is what I do with on the course. So far though I feel really comfortable over it. Eyes are over the ball, arms hanging naturally... I just feel like I'm not forcing myself into any positions, what feels comfortable seems to actually be pretty darn close to fundamental correctness. Watch for the "I hate this F***ing putter and I had 7 3putts today" thread coming next week though, lol.

The new Karsten series is fantastic looking!! I was playing around with some last night in the shop and thought they seemed fairly light.

The PING putter that totally blew me away last night wasn't a Karsten series but rather one of the Doc models. That thing is HUGE and not all that attractive but it puts a sweet as roll on the ball!!

I've just been in to the local Golf Galaxy to pick a few 'consumables' up and saw they had these in stock there now.

I can concurr that they're really, really nice when you see and use them in person, and like Ez found the C67 the pick of the bunch when trying them out. If I wasn't hitting that Heavy Putter so well I could easily be tempted, especially at such a ridiculously low price...

Well, to put the weight in perspective. The C67 is weighing is at 490 on my scale, the Tear Drop is an inch longer and weighs the same total, the KC2 is backweighted and is coming in at 580, friggen sledgehammer.

Something doesn't make sense. All of the Karsten heads are 340+ but I swear that 34" Anser felt super light. I may have to give them another try...

I used to own a Doc 15. It was certainly big and ugly and got lots of comments, but it had the biggest sweet spot I've ever seen and put a beautiful roll on it. Don't know why I ever got rid of it, probably going through a slump and blamed the putter instead of the stroke. I still wish sometimes I kept it.
