Question about True Temper flex

What are the differences between 200/300/400 in the different flexes? Are they sub flexes? i.e. would 200 be the most flexible and 400 be the stiffest within a flex range?

Clint

I think that numbers other than 300 for the stiffs and numbers other than 100 for the x stiffs are slightly out of spec for weight to be considered for s300 or x100. Only a couple of grams difference. I think that sounds right, somebody correct me if it's wrong.

I do believe they are sub-categories of the flexes. As in 200-softer 400-stiffer.

Parallel irons
X100 / X200 / X300 X 130 / 134 / 137
S200 / S300 / S400 S 127 / 130 / 134
R200 / R300 / R400 R 124 / 127 / 131

That's from the True Temper website. I am pretty sure that they are just a few grams different in weight. It has nothing to do with stiffness.

The S200 and S400 are simply out of spec S300 shafts. Usually they are 4g or so different in weight, 200 being lighter, 400 heavier. Nothing else at all. They will flex exactly the same.
