    Rifle shaft help

I spent some time with a clubmaker today and I want to confirm a few things he mentioned to me.
    1) He put my 5i on the frequency machine and if I remember correctly it came out to about 313 CPM which he said is more than a S+ (I think the Black Golds in stiff flex are too stiff for my smooth tempo swing)
    2) If my irons were about a 1/4" longer (which he fitted me for) then I would not have needed to bend them 1* upright. Apparently longer than standard plays more upright and vice versa.
    3) If I play a Rifle 5.5 1/4" longer than standard it should play at about a 5.2 or 5.3.
    4) Rifle flighted shafts generally play better at a slightly softer flex than one would normally buy.

    Thanks, bames

Yes this is true, 5.5 shafts play just slightly stiffer than a s300 shaft.

I thought S300's were about 5.7-5.8 on the rifle scale

Yes, I was told they represented 5.8 on the Rifle scale. This is from a PGA Pro who is also the European Rep. for Muira clubs, so he tends to know his stuff...!
