Srixon ZURC

I tried a couple of these as they have been superseded by the new ZURS and are going cheap at my golf club. I can't believe Srixon are getting rid of these, they are without doubt the best best all round ball Srixon has ever had. I hit them as far as any other 'gamer', and almost as far as the D2 reds, off the driver, but for some reason these balls go longer off the irons than any ball I've hit. They also stop real good on approach shots and are the softest Srixon's I've ever used around the greens. I went back to the pro shop and stocked up and will be getting these until they run out. They are definitely my new gamer when condiitons are too tough for the D2's.

I agree, the C's are a great ball, I dont know why srixon wouldnt continue them, especially when theyre top pro, Furyk, is playing them...?

I didn't think the ZURS was a replacement for the C. I thought they marketed all three last year, the Z-UR, Z-URS and Z-URC.

On their website they're selling the Z-URS and Z-URC so the regular Z-UR is the one that's gone.

Sorry Sandpiper, but the C's are nearly out of stock. The Pro definitely doesn't have enough to cover your freight costs on the deal. He is letting them go for $4AUD a pop, which doesn't sound like much of a discount, but its a good deal at a pro shop in Australia, where top shelf balls usually sell for $8 and up. It also means if I win a ball in the Saturday Comp I can get a C, instead of having to trade 2 balls won for 1 ProV1X.

Warbird, I think the new ZURS has replaced the old S and the C. I think you are also right about the original ZUR going about a year ago, I think replaced by the C.

I agree that I don't know why they are getting rid of the C, it's also used by most of Srixons contracted pros. It's not the first time a great ball has been taken off. I remember when the Black Max was stopped I picked them up for for a song and stocked up. I suppose companies superseeding balls is good and bad news for us paying golfers. Bad because we have to keep getting used to new balls, but great because we can buy superseded models for half price for some time after they have stopped production.

I picked up 2 sleeves of Srixon Z-URX's that were laying around the shop all year just before the course closed. Loved them. Thought It was my new gamer until I learned they discontinued them like..3 years ago.

They were replaced by the Z-URS. I haven't picked any of these up yet.

Silly Srixon.
