Follow up to shaft debacle-please read if you read my other

after much criticism for my numbers (and ill be honest i dont really know wat im talking about when it comes to details so i did some research and it all just didnt add up at all.) i decided to drive to the next closest dick's today (Wed) which is 5 minutes farther than the other. i tested in their hitting range with the same club, this time the numbers seemed more logical. club speed was a little higher and distance was shorter and was more relevant to club head speed. but just so everyone knows, im done with the simulation talk, i made my choice on a shaft and ill just wait to see how i drive outside. sorry for the confusion everyone. i feel really stupid. thanks for those that helped tho.

another thing is that the driving distance comes in -ideal- conditions in the simulator. real life is a lot different and many more factors to deal with such as slope, wind, and temp. (coming straight from the golf pro shop guy). ideal conditions like the simulation will never occur.

Eh? Those numbers are the almost the same? Its POSSIBLE to swing at those speeds, but its very, very rare and certainly to do it and square the club means the player is highly accomplished. Its the sort of numbers you see on the long driving tour. The average pro is at 112/113, the bigger hitters at 118 and a few monsters over 120, a few though. Maybe Dicks have dicky machines, maybe you can genuinely swing at those speeds, but your new thread hardly dispells the cycnisim, lol, you have reduced the claim by an insignificant amount.

I have been on monitors and they both claimed I can land the ball 320, which is clearly bollocks. Off my toes I can land a ball 270.

I politely suggest these are bogus figures until you go and hit a normal ball on the range and measure it.

On another thread we have a guy claiming 67s, and he thinks blades will help him get nearer the pin. These things are claimed all the time online and cynicism is natural.
