Last of the winter Ho's

Well, im thinkin my bag is finally set, and I am done with ho'ing for the winter (knocking on wood).

Just picked up tmag's hfs r7 3w (in sig), and OMG is this one of the sexiest clubs I've ever seen. The Matrix shaft in cherry red just looks absolutely gorgeous, and that coupled with my r510 with creation, I have a sexy combo between my woods and the high roller equipment makes me look like a real golfer.

It's amazing, retail prices aren't worth a monkey's uncle when you deal with great ppl (referring to the AMAZING deals that i've gotten through tmag and lyle especially, huge props guys, have had nothing but great exp working with you guys!).

Will get some pics up later, but they really wont do either of these clubs justice!

Enjoy it, that club has an amazing look at address, nice compact head and it launches the heck out of the ball. Good luck with it, hope it is as good to you as it was for me.

It was a Tour Issued r7 fairway wood, it is a TP head made out of steel rather than titanium, the HFS stands for Hot Face Steel. It is smaller than the titanium TP woods, has the same profile as the older 200 Tour heads with two weight ports.

tmag, honestly dude, this is the sexiest 3w ive ever seen, it combines everything i look for in a 3w, compact head, sharp looking, steel face (dont like the sound of the titanium heads...).

I literally am bouncing off the walls here, im guna go hit it tomorrow, but at the indoor range. So im really not going to get to see this thing fly until im home in 2 weeks for xmas break, although i may "borrow" a few balls from the range to hit out into the snow here on campus.

The shaft/head combo look absolutely beautiful, just simply amazing. I dont know why you let this thing go, but thanks a begillion.

(any suggestions for shallowing out my swing so Im not smoking the ball into the ground? I seem to be giving my woods negative loft at impact (ie- my 10.5 driver launching at around 6 on the Launch monitor...eeek).

It came down to testing the one you ended up with, a 15* (actual 14*) head that was 1* open and a 15* (actual 13.5*) that was 1.5* open. I am currently using the Burner TP 14.5* head that is 1* open. The HFS offers more control though, so I will use it on tighter courses where you need to position the ball more than just hit it.

It is a higher launching shaft, but doesn't put much spin on the ball, it is really good for smooth swings and can keep up with you if you go after it.

That sounds like my kind of shaft... sign me up. Can I get it in 75?

The X Con 7 is about 75 grams, that's the one that is in the 3 wood, so Piper can let you know after he hits it. I prefer the Code 7, a little lower launch but a bit higher spin.

I hit the solution in Eracers driver. I'd consider it, if it weren't so light.
