Renegade "Address" Pics!

Due to the misconceptions of this being a closed face or excessive bulge and roll (which all drivers have to have), I've decided to remove the pictures at this time...

Actually, you all bring up a good point that has been asked many times about many heads everytime someone displays a club head, which is "That looks closed...can't hit that!"

People HAVE to understand it is the camera angle...not the head...as I mentioned earlier, try holding a driver in one hand...then in the other hand, hold, focus, control lite and snap the picture with the other hand...it's easier to juggle puppies.[]

But because of this misconception, plus historically, not many people ever read what is posted after the first post, then go off believing and telling everyone the heads are closed.....

I decided to take the pictures down.

The head shown was square...none of the Renegades in the USA are greater than 1* closed....even if it was, there's no way you could differentiate a single degree distance with the naked eye...so many people just don't seem to understand this.

Here is a picture of a protractor from 48 inches away, blown up to the exact same size as the heads (just cropped differently....but the image itself is the same, can you differentiate a single degree?:

Next, to make it easier, I actually taped off the protractor exposing a single degree (which took some time)...again, this was taken from 48" away, blown up the same as the other two images....can you clearly see the difference?

Now, here is the exposed 1 degree as viewed, from 5-1/2 feet away, with no image enhancement...you cannot see the 1 degree gap at all...not even a seem in the tape.

I decided to take down these images because even though people think they can see a single degree difference, they truly cannot...and I seriously doubt that any golfer, regardless of how well they are, can return a club at impact at the exact same angle every single time...let alone within a one degree tolerance.

But I think it';s easier from here forward to never post pictures at address...if anyone wants pictures at address, I'll email it to them and explain to them, what I explained here.

Hope this makes sense....

Just like the FTi non-tour is.

Is that a 10.5*, Rory?

Looks pretty good. How shut is that one, a degree? I'm going to go back through the other thread to look at the spin #'s. I have to say it looks 100% better at adress and from the top as it did from the bottom in the other thread.

I agree 100%. If that "Callaway Orange" colour was something like grey or black (same as the crown, maybe?), that thing would be no less an eyesore than the FTi.

It looks good from the top, that's forsure.

Should be interesting. Rory, I'm going to ship you my Proforce V2 (the one you pulled out of the Mizuno head.) Toss it in the 12º head when you get it, and tell me what I owe you.

Interesting. At first glance, thought it looked closed too, then I looked again. In pic #2 the toe almost looks open faced. Probably just camera angles, but what are the specs Rory? Open, square, or closed?

I can not wait to get mine and put in that Graman Limey.

All heads are square to no more than 1° closed...each one can be handpicked for anywhere at or in between.

It's all camera angle boys....the ability or holding the club in one hand, and focusing and snapping the picture with the other hand all the time making sure our image isn't caught in the reflection.

It's easier to juggle poodles.

My current driver is 1* closed so it looked fine to me.

Is the camera angle that makes it look like it has a lot of bulge radius?

I think you should shaft one up with Solutions stiff flex and send it around for us to demo.

with the Solution - some of us mere mortals might not get enough spin to keep the ball in the air....that said, I'd love to try
