Bobby Jones Fairway Woods???

Anyone try out the Bobby Jones Fairway Woods? The hybrids have a great reputation. I have one and its a terrific stick. Would like to get some feedback on the Player's Series Fairway woods.
Thanks

I played with a guy who carried their woods in his bag as well as the hybrids and he loved them and hit them really nicely - nice trajectory and sound at impact and he swore by then. BUT he *did* seem like a guy who was playing whatever looked nicest (he had one of those Stultz triangular shafts in his driver!) and they just happened to look the best AND be good clubs.

I think the comments on the latest Hot List about the Bobby Jones clubs is quite telling though, about the amount of time its been since they introduced them and how technology has moved on a long way since then. The question is whether that kind of money is worth shelling out for a level of technology you can pick up very cheap in the closeout sections of the stores now.

Have you tried the overlap grips? Yeah - but still she got the Yips..."

My brother in law has one. He can't hit it worth a darn, but he can't hit any of his clubs worth a darn. So in his case the pretty arrow was waisted on the ugly swing of the indian.

Thanks guys. Decided to take a shot and order a 17 degree with R shaft. I like the looks and already have the 4h 24 degree hybrid that I like using. I'll let you know how it works out when I get it and play it a few times.
