No. Practice and good putting does.

This is what you need to use. They've worked for 60 years, why change now....

I like the Stinger competition tees (the ones with the smallest head) tees. I don't know if they make much difference in my game, but it's fun giving them to the guys I golf with and watching them try to get the tee in straight enough to keep the ball on top.

Interesting looking, height gauge, looks like softer prongs that may flex back, not much bigger than a regular tee. Although at over $1 a tee, they better last at least as long as the 100 drives it says.

I doubt I would ever buy them, something about spending more money on a tee than I do on a golf ball that just turns me off. As hard as the ground was this weekend, one of our playing partners this weekend had a brush tee and the thing would go sailing every drive. Something about spending a couple minutes on a tee box looking for a tee because it cost so much that can be rather annoying. After the second time I figured if they wanted help finding a tee, it was time to change to cheaper tees. While Zero friction tees are more expensive than regular tees at maybe 10 cents a piece, they are still cheap enough that I am not going to spend more time looking for them than a regular tee, which is about 2 seconds.

edit 1 - .... looks like zero friction has new iron tees, I guess I won't have to look for the epochs after all, will have to give them a shot. Even though I still prefer broken tees if they can be found on the tee box, and I'm guessing they would break or be lost a heck of alot easier with the iron.

I think thats a good question. why change now? the same reason we don't use 60-year-old clubs. I think lots of the new equipment out there is more of a gimmick than anything, so why does it sell? It sells because people believe in the equipment.

I think finding a golf tee that works for you is as important as finding a driver that works for you. still, I think wooden tees are a great choice, I just think tee tech makes sense to me.

speaking of tee tech... check the ones in the photo out!

I think the reason most people don't use 60 year old clubs is because the technology is considerably better than 60 years ago and will make you a better golfer. Let's not insinuate that all technology is a "Gimmick" I guess my question would be what does this tee do to improve your game over the wooden tee?

Stick to the positive side of the tee, it last longer than the wooden tee. That is the reason I use a Zero Friction, I don't have to keep replacing tees in my pocket and carry 100 in my bag. Although they only cost me about 10 cents a piece, so if I loose the thing, I could care less.

At least be honest and don't try and make it sound like the benefits you will receive by using this tee are the same benefits you will receive by using the standard driver over one made 60 years ago. To me one is a gimmick and the other is not. Uing current technology over a Persimmon wood with a Hickory handle or a feather golf ball is not a gimmick to me. So compare the $1-2 tee that you listed to the 10 cent Zero Friction that many on here use and tell me why I should spend the extra $1-2 per tee. The Zero Friction is pretty gimmicky as well, but I don't believe the hogwash they post on the site, but I know from experience the things last forever and I would even likely argue that they are a cheaper alternative to the wooden tee. Not that I really care much about the environment, but you also use about 1/10th to 1/20th of the number of tees so they they have other advantages and you see less litter on the course. They also will not damage a mower and prove costly to my membership fees
