Stock Shaft and Swing Weight.

I just received by HiBore in the mail today and Global Golf is great by the way a three* club and it hardly looks like its been hit. Anyway it came at 45 1/2" inches, and I'm planning on cutting it down to 44 3/4. I looked on Clevelands site and with the stock Fuji I have in it right now they say it plays at a D5 swing weight with a standard 45" shaft, but it does not feel like a D5 swing weight at all it feels pretty light for a 70g shaft. I was thinking that if a 45" standard shaft in this combo should play at D5 shouldn't this club I have play at D6.5. I have bought clubs shorter than standard 44.5 from the factory and when I had the stock shaft pulled it looked like it had a shaft plug instaled to bring up the swing weight. My question is can OEM's do anything to their clubs to decrease swing weight when they install longer than standard shafts.

they can design and use lighter and lighter heads (total weight)
