I Think I Have a New Favorite Club

Took my new 5 wood out to the course for the first time today, it was a little soggy, but I needed to get out on the course again. I have never been a fan of hybrids, and a good long iron player, I was still carrying a 2 iron. My TM rep convinced me to try the Burner TP 5 wood since I was hitting the 3 wood so well. I hit this club twice in nine holes and am ready to admit that there was no way that I could have hit the same shots with the 2 iron. The first was on a par 5 into a 30 mph wind from 220 yards, the ball stayed nice and flat and landed pin high and rolled about 5 feet past the hole. The second was from 215 in the right rough with the ball about 8 inches below my feet and I was able to hit a nice low draw that landed softly about six feet short of the hole. The 2 iron is officially going to stay out of the bag this season (I reserve the right to change my mind in a week).

I have a non TP burner 5 wood. For me. it is the only club that I can go after and it still flies far with a beautiful fade or draw depending how i want it. I LOVE THIS CLUB!

My fav club right now is my 3w. Hit some clutch shots today and it led to 2 of my 4 birdies.

Definately best club in my bag right now. Thx tmag!

I tried a bunch of hybrids with little success. I put my old favorite 5 wood back in the bag at the end of last season and there it will stay. Great club in lots of situations.

It seems the 5-wood is getting a strong "following" these days...

I was very pleasantly surprised, I never even gave a thought to a 5 wood until I got this one.

I think im guna go back into a look for a 5w. I love my 2i, but on courses where I need to carry onto the green from 225 out, 3w cant hold and 2i is tough to stop.

Although definately would have used the 2i today, it was crazy windy out, had winds up to 40mph today here at our tourney.

Tmag, can you recommend a good 5w setup?
