Shaft change= sound change. Huh? - Shot Talk

So, I have been toying around with this R7425 for quite a while now, I'm on my third shaft in it. The last one played pretty much perfectly, so I'm not sure why I keep experimenting. Anyway, I stuck a Fujikura spd-660tr in this last time, as I always wanted to try one. Now I have a problem:

The club rings with this awful, high pitched "ding!" every time I hit it. Its terrible. Has this every happened to anyone else after a shaft change?

Yes, you can get a sound change from different shafts.

The Taylor heads really change in sound if you move the weights around as well.
