HiBore XL head weight, and rat glue SW.

I know a few people have the XL here does anyone know the head weight. Long story short I think I added a little too much rat glue down the head and it feels heavy. I just want to make sure I didn't add too much. I think I read its a 200g head but I just want to make sure. Also has anyone used rat glue for increasing swing weight.

You can reheat the head and pour some glue out if it feels too heavy. Then just heat it again to reposition the remaining glue in the head where you want it.

Rat glue goes in hell of a lot easier than it comes out. What takes 30 seconds to put can take 2 hours to get out. I put the whole head into boiling water for a few minutes then pour out what you can. Then I take some paper towel rolled up real thin and jam it into the head. Do this about 10 times and you should be able to remove about 60% of what you put in.

My understanding is that if you perch the head sole up on a steel shaft and heat it evenly, the glue collects in the hosel and pours out. Understandibly, you're not gonna get it all out, but this method works, just from what I read.

I have not done this procedure myself, so I'll go with Lyle here and say that it's probably a bitch.

I stick with lead tape. Easy to apply and no mess/fuss.

Its beyond a bitch. The stuff gets everywhere, and is easily the stickiest substance on the planet. This is the only reason I am starting to really like adjustable weight driver heads. Just so practicle from a fitting standpoint.

I just weighed mine at a little over 198 grams. I would also stick to lead tape. Easy to measure, add, and remove.

Bames thanks. I got most of the glue out last night I just ran it under some hot water and it came out. I just want to weigh it to make sure.
