Exclamation Posting pictures

For anyone that is new or isn't computer literate here's the guide on how to do it. Click on New Reply. Then when that comes up click the little paper clip attatchment thing, After that window comes up click one of the browse buttons and another window should pop up where you can find the picture on your computer. After you find the picture on you computer click the upload button pictured on the second attached image. The images below should help you.

Also, their are file size limitations. These are listed in the dialog box that opens when you click on the "paperclip" icon.

Best bet is to save pics as .jpg files at no larger than 640x480 resolution. There are file conversion/re-sizing utilities available for free on the internet. I use Photoshop, which is definitely NOT free. If you don't have Photoshop, then Google for a utility.

Also, you can "open picture for editing" in either Microsoft Photo Editor, or even MS paint, and resize it via the options in the menu at the top of the screen. Under "image" I believe.

Good point I forgot about that since all the pictures I post fit. I asked Rock to make this a sticky.

As long as the file size is smaller than the max, the site resizes the images automatically.

I don't really see how this is rocket science. I mean, if I figured it out, anyone can.

I must be dumberer than you. I've tried to post bitmaps whose resolution was within spec, but the filesize in KB's was too big and it wouldn't post. And if it's filesize (KB's) that matter, then the file has to be resized to meet that spec anyway. Too bad the site doesn't work like Photobucket. I upload a 2MB 3500x2500 picture, and I don't have to do anything. It does what it needs to do to get the picture down to 640x480.
