Comfortable shoes

While i know this entire thread will be subjective, I have to post this.

Two years ago, I bought a pair of Ecco shoes during a Boxing day blowout. I've always liked Ecco and the pair I wanted was 70% off or something stupid like that, so bought them.

I was blown away with the comfort, balance and anchoring that the Ecco's provided me. I could easily walk 36 and not complain.

I liked them so much so, that I picked up another pair this year.

I used to be a Nike GoreTex guy, but not anymore.

Anyways, that's just my thoughts. This is more of a ringing endorsement than a "my shoes are better than yours" thread.

Discuss as you wish....

Hate metal spikes personally.

And im lookin hard into some ecco's, have read nothing but great things, and absolutely hate my callaway shoes. I've gone through most major brands, FJ, Nike, Callaway, Bite, Adidas.

My old FJ's are probably the most comfortable (the old saddle shoes), but haven't gotten a chance to try ecco, hopefully my next trip to a golf store (which is kinda tough since the closest one is an hour or so away and I have no car) i'll come out with a new pair of shoes.

I just prefer FJ due to how good they feel to me. Of course, I haven't tried Ecco, and I've read nothing but good things about them.

Rock (or anyone else who knows), OT, what is Boxing Day? I know it's a holiday, but what for?

I'm sport'n a pair of Nike SP-5 and a couple of FJs (eComfort and LT series). I find all three quite comfortable for walking and have done 36 with all of them.

I really like how the Ecco fit my foot but I just can't bring myself to drop that kind of coin. They'd be on my feet in a heartbeat if I came across a 70% off sale, that's for sure!

So, just a day off? No historical or religious significance?

And thanks for the answer, Piper.

And you give me hell for style?

To each their own, of course. This is exactly why there are so many different styles. And this thread wasn't put together to bash or promote either way, I was just stating my feelings.

I wore them all last night.

Boxing day is an old traditonal day where the collections from the church, offices, all that sort of crap was given to those that did the work as a sort of "thank you" for all their hard work through the year.

Now, it's just a commercial day wherein stuff that people paid 70% more for Xmas is on sale.

You've got a wide brimmed hat with a feather to match those, don't you?

Yep, each his own. I'd probably like the looks of them on you, but I'm a little more traditional with my golf shoes than that.

The Friday after Thanksgiving is a huge day for Christmas sales (biggest shopping day of the year), but it's not a national holiday. Most of us treat is as one and take a long weekend for Thanksgiving.

Thanks for the insight, Rock...I've always wondered about that but am just too lazy to look it up.
