Odyssey Putter headweights

Does anyone know where I could find the weights of different putter heads? I know that for a longer putter, the head is generally heavier. I am considering a new Black I series #7 and wanted to know how much weight I would need to add to the head to put in a 50" shaft. Would it even be possible? Worth it? thoughts?

I thought it was the other way around - shorter shafts with heavier heads to maintain a similar swingweight/feel
I'm guessing the weights are similar to other putter heads (approx 340grams) but that's a total guess

I've heard different things. I know when you're doing 33",34",35" its different than putting the broom in.

Odyssey came out with a #7 long, and apparently the head is about 100g heavier than the regular length #7. But I like the Black I series head better esthetically and for feel. But dont know how much weight I'd have to add or even if it can be done.

I e-mailed Callaway USA and Canada, and the weights are not available for the non-tour heads. They just don't make them. The Tour heads have an entirely different thread pattern for such adjustments. So, if you wanna drop $750 on a Odyssey Black tour, go right ahead.

Lead tape, my man.

I cant find anything about these Odyssey Black Tour putters? I've seen the Black i series, and the tour i series, but i'm not seeing anything for $750.

If there are no head weights listed or available, would I basically just have to put the long shaft in and just start adding tape til it felt right?

This came off another forum I used to belong to, which kinda surprised me when considering Swing Weights. Although this is for a Ping Putter, I can't help but think from a cost standpoint it may be the same for others as well. Although I think because I play Odyssey and did a little research on head weights when I cut down one of their putter a while back, the same may apply to them in that they do not change the weights. The info for Odyssey seemed pretty hard to come by, although you could likely e-mail Odyssey to find out for sure. I just opted to play around with the weights until it felt how I wanted after finding little info on if there were alteration to the head weights.

Ping replied: "All of the putter heads weigh approximately the same (come out of the same mold). This being stated, we do not have a heavier head for shorter lengths. If you shorten your 35" putter down to a 34" or 33.5", it would be the same as if you ordered it that way originally. I hope this helps."
edit 1 - I would also have to wonder with a 50" shaft, if they may not account for this in the design weight of the shaft as opposed to the club head, maybe Tungsten powder.

Typically the belly and long putter heads I have seen have weighed between 360 and 400g.

Pretty much. But, as commented, the longer putters are usually heavier from the factory., so adding weight til you like the feel is the way to go

The lie angle is also different. You might need a custom bend.
