super game improvement irons

A friend is looking at the R7 draw, or the Hibore irons. He has been playing for about 3 years, do you think its a good idea for someone new to golf to get super GI irons or do you think they should look for a more conventional cavity back. I told him to get fitted and look for a set 4-PW and get a Hybrid or two. I said to look at the MX 900-25's, X20, and Titleist and Cobra's GI lines. I thnk if he goes with the super GI irons he might get better and out grow them, or they might hide some swing flaws. What do you guys/girls think.

Get him into some Big Berthas. Not SGI, but still forgiving enough that he'd make out with them for some time.

The Big Berthas sure look like SGI's to me.

Yeah the Callaway BB's are changed to a SGI this year I've saw them in person and they are quite big. I'm not sure I would say go for a GI like a Ping G10 or something likewise.
