Ya. Friend of mine, he e-mailed his straight away and said I'm interested, but I'd like more pics. The guy said "no problem", then e-mailed him back saying they were sold.

How awesome is that. My friend wasn't bummed about it, it was just a good deal he wanted to take advantage of. But it's still shitty business.

i disagree. its the first hit to the paypal account that wins it on WRX. there is no holding clubs so someone can look at pics. Hot items with cheap pricing go fast, so the seller will and should sell them to the first guy that is willing to PP. In other words, you had better say that you for sure want them, and ask for his paypal info asap, or else you might lose the chance at the deal. Its a Dog eat Dog kinda deal over there.

I agree with FBK. I sell to the 1st person who says "I'll take it, where do I send paypal?". Asking for more pics is kicking tires.

I'll have to agree with Rock. If someone says they want more pics and they are interested why not give the first go at it to the guy who got in with the first message?

If there's so much demand, there's no rush. You're not going to lose a sale if someone really wants it.

I'd never cut someone off at the nuts like that. But, I would tell them that they have to get back to me proto because there are a group of horses chomping at the bit behind you. That's also an incentive for less tire kicking, more Paypal.

The ho world is small. You might as well make some friends along the way.

"I'll think about it" isn't the same as "I'm interested, but I want to confirm X".

I've never been snuffed like that, nor have I ever consiously done it to anyone else. I once was told that the guy didn't want to ship to Canada, which I guess I can understand with the whole 12 seconds it takes to fill out the form.

I once told a guy that I wanted to buy a driver from him, but then after confirming shipping and everything, he tells me there's no headcover. Well, that's a deal killer for me because re-selling clubs with no headcover is a pain.

He called that weak. Weak that I was good to go, then relented at the last possible minute. To me, he was unfairly advertising his product, or not being entirely up front about it from step one. I explained how it was a deal killer fo re-sale, he came back with "How is it a deal killer? Just buy a headcover for it."

I came back with "Well, it killed this deal. I rest my case."
