First 9 with the Bridgetsones

Well, played 9 after a short day today, lots of positives about these clubs. The irons feel fantastic, even better than the Taylor Mades, I really like the ball flight and control that I got. We had a stiff 25 mph wind today and I was able to control the trajectory of the ball very easily. The driver is far more workable than the Burner TP, I could hit the ball far lower when I wanted to and shape the flight with ease; not nearly as forgiving though. One thing that I don't like is that the very deep face prevents hitting driver off the deck, but that shot is almost never called for. The fairway woods are the best part of the new bag, the ball jumps off the face and is as easy to control as the rest of the clubs.

I really like the ball as well (always have), it was one of the main reasons I thought of switching in the first place. I played with the B330S, but am going to try the B330 next time, I always seemed to switch between the two before the Taylor Made balls were released, I want to settle on one at some point.

I envy you and your ablity to work the ball other than a slice or a hook. Especially when I'm out in the yard digging trenches with my irons. Glad the clubs are working for you though.

They sound great Bstone!

Have you hit and remember how a 905R is like? If so how would you compare it to the J33R, i cant really remember how i hit the j33r last i used it, might look back into it.

btw, the hfs I got from you i hit longer and have more workability than the j33 3w. It also impressed my playing partners as I was hitting it just as far as their drives (and mine)

Great to hear the first round out was so positive!

I love the comment about the fairway wood(s) the most. I've played the J33 3W for over a year and I just don't see why this club is not in more bags. The only thing I can think of is lack of shelf space as I can't remember the last time I actually saw one in a shop. I'm not sure when Bridgestone is planning to release its replacement but I'm not convinced that one is warranted yet; this design flat out performs!
