Spring Cleaning.

Hey guys anybody have a better way to clean clubs than a wire brush and a cloth?

That pretty well covers both methods, although I wouldn't use a wire brush. Use an old tooth brush or buy a brush at Wal Mart.

I've found Simple Green and letting the irons soak then rinse and wipe them off works quite well. The stuff I use is called Jungle Jake but it is just like Simple green.

a coat of car wax on the woods can help prevent skymarks/idiot marks
a wet towel works as well as anything else

make sure they're dry when you're done, and consider throwing some light oil on them (WD-40 or something else)

Wouldn't that violate a rule?

A garden hose works just fine for me.

Bingo. Bucket of warm water and a rag. Couldn't be bothered with anything else, and this coming from a guy that uses iron covers.

I don't think so - i'm not talking a lot - and i'd wipe them off with a towel, but to prevent rust, etc

I do it at the end of the season before the clubs make their way to the basement, but just a wet towel when they come back out

You use iron covers? You seem more like an anti-cover guy.

I would cover up those naks too.

I just use a rag and water to clean my clubs. It works, you don't need anything fancy.

And watch out for that jungle jake crap topflite, I use that stuff to clean showcases at work and it can burn your hands.

Water and a golf tee for the grooves is what I use.

I believe Mizuno says that iron covers can cause rust because it traps moisture.

Do you dilute it when you use it? I use 3 parts water to 1 part JJ to clean glass and metal and it can still burn a little. Even more so when somebody sneaks up behind you with another sprayer and gets you in the neck. I wouldn't want to touch it undiluted.

Yeah I've touched it undiluted, maybe it is different types.
Found a link to the stuff I use
