Scotty Cameron Mid Sur -- HELP

i have the opportunity to pick up a belly butter sc mid sur in near mint condition for $100.

my questions are, if i get it reshafted and regripped -- would it affect me drastically? i know putters are weighted a certain way, but im sure it wouldn't bother me so much.

do sc's use any special shafts? and does anyone know anything about the mid sur's i should know about before making this purchase?

I know it is pro-platinum and that means some special type of upkeep compared to the stainless steels?

thanks!

-newbie

Sounds pretty good. THe head is about 370 grams and I believe the lie is 80* versus a "normal" lie of 71*. The hosel is (I believe) .370. ProPlat is pretty bullet proof, but if the finish is nicked, its carbon steel under the plating so it can rust.

well i bought it, and played a round today with it, didnt do so hot with the new belly putter, as expected of course hehe.

I want to cut the shaft and turn it into a 34" regular, however the mid sur has a different lie angle, would that be a problem?
